Bio: Michael Reilly has been working in the awning manufacture and design profession since 1979. His experience includes fabrication and design of custom fabric awnings and canopies in South Florida. His family has been fabricating awnings since 1929. He is experienced in residential and commercial projects from a local to an international scope. Aesthetic, structural design and installation methods are areas that he has been innovative in. Michael received his BA from St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas. He was a representative from the awning industry that helped in writing the awning chapter of the South Florida building code. He has served on the boards of the Professional Awning Manufacturers Association, Southern Canvas Products Association, and Florida Fabrics Association. He is the President of Miami Awning Company, a company that has been a nationally recognized innovator of awning design.

Joan Garvey
Sales Manager

Joan Garvey began working at Miami Awning at the age of 16, when her father was the owner of Miami Awning. She started off filing paperwork in the office and over the years learned all of the workings of the business. She eventually took on a major leadership role and currently serves as the Sales Manager.
Joan and his brother Mike Reilly are the 4th generation to run Miami Awning Company. Joan has proudly dedicated herself to Miami Awning Company. She takes honor in knowing that she helps keep a 77 year old family business going.
Joe Reilly

Bio: Joseph has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Miami as well as an MBA from Florida International University. He is part of the 5th generation of Reilly family management.
Dan Reilly
Director of Design
Bio: After receiving his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of West Florida, Dan joined Miami Awning full-time and became part of the 5th generation of Reilly family management. He is currently the Director of Design, one of our lead project managers, and an officer of the company.

Francisco (Frank) Sanchez

Bio: Frank Sanchez is a Miami Native and a highly qualified project manager at Miami Awning. He 2 Associates Degrees from Miami Dade College, majoring in Business Administration and Drafting Technology. He also attended Florida International University where he studied Business Administration. Frank came on to the Miami Awning team in 2001 when we acquired Thomas Awnings, the company he had been employed by at the time. Frank has been an asset to Miami Awning Co. ever since.
Alfonso (Al) Rodriguez

Bio: I received my Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering at Westchester Community College in 1975 and from 1976 to 1980 I worked for Conrail railroad in New York.
I moved to Miami and started my missionary career and in 1990. I went on to serve as a missionary in the British Virgin Islands and later in South America, in the country of Bolivia.
In 1999, I returned to the states and worked in various jobs. From 2001 to 2014, I work in retail at Macy’s where I developed my sales skills.
In 2014, Miami Awning hired me to reach out to previous customers who were due for awning recovers. After just a few short months, and thorough training, I was taken on as a full time sales representative.
